Short Hiatus: Over

3 responses, May 31, 2008

That was really fast. I didn’t expect that I’d be finishing my vacation project so fast. Now, I have nothing else to do but be back online. I even found time to sneak away and bloghop while I’m supposed to be doing my vacation project. I guess I can’t stand being on hiatus after all.

After the realization that my hiatus is over, I checked a multiply site that posted pics of our blocklists in Ateneo. Sad to say, I’m not in the same block as my high school classmate who coincidentally is in the same course as I am in. He’s not just a classmate but a friend too. So that really saddened me. We won’t be classmates anymore. But then, him being in the same school and in the same course is already considered lucky for me so I should be thankful, at least.

By the way, after checking that multiply site, I wanted to comment and say that I’m in Block S2: BS MIS so that I could be online buddies with my blockmates who also commented there. But then I had to make a multiply account so I did make one. I didn’t intend on using it at first, but after seeing how horrible it looked without content, I decided I could make use of it anyway. So there, I transformed it into a very personal blog where I let go of my formal self and rant away like crazy. This blog is my OUTER and my multiply site is my INNER. Naruto fans, just imagine Sakura and you’ll get it quick.

Firefox 3 Download Day 2008

Download Day 2008 Yes, I know I’m on hiatus so I’ll make this post short. I just can’t resist but support my favorite web browser.

For all those who still do not know, Firefox 3 will be released very very soon. But instead of the normal releasing of an application, Mozilla would like to set a world record on the number of downloads in 24 hours. So they have a major event called Download Day 2008. All you have to do is pledge that you’ll be downloading Firefox 3 within 24 hours once it’s released. Once you pledge, you’ll receive an email from them on the day of release.

It’s not really called a burden on my part. It’s not an obligation either. Firefox 2, as it is, is already the best web browser and is supported by thousands of plugins and themes. Firefox 3 has more than 14,000 improvements since Firefox 2 making it faster, safer and smarter than it already is.

For those who until now are clinging to the out-of-the-box Internet Explorer, please try Firefox for at least a day and then uninstall it if you still think IE is better. I doubt that would happen though.

For all Firefox users, PLEDGE NOW! ^^

EDIT: I pledged at about 3PM a while ago and the pledge count then was only about 23,000 plus. Now, after about 8 hours, the pledge count is already 95,000 plus. It seems to be increasing by about 200 pledges every minute. Good job Firefox fans! ^^ Oh, and Japan seems to be in the lead among Asian countries. ^^ Ganbatte!

Short Hiatus

The post title says it all. But let me give those who might be asking “Why?” a bit of an answer.

I’ll be on a short hiatus just until around June 3 or later. Actually, this hiatus has started even before I posted this. I’d be needing time to fix a few more things and say a few too many goodbyes before I move to Manila on June 3 just in time for the Ateneo registration. I won’t be completely offline though. I’d be returning comments and do some quick bloghopping. I realised I can’t live without bloghopping.

So until June 3 (or maybe a couple of days after), I’d be on a short hiatus.

Ja ne! ^^
