I’m tempted to say, “I have no intentions of telling you my likes and dislikes. As for my dream… I have few hobbies.” That’s a quote from one of the Naruto characters who I see myself in: Hatake Kakashi.

Since, I’m not a hundred percent like Kakashi, I’d pass in using that line for the sake of this About page. I realized that I don’t really talk about myself that much in real life so you can call this exclusive.

I’m Beena, a 16-year old college freshman studying in the Ateneo de Manila University. I came from Pampanga and graduated from high school in Brightwoods School. Now that I’m in college, I find myself staying in a condo somewhere along the border of Mandaluyong and Pasig although it is still officially located in Mandaluyong.

I’m pure Filipino down to the roots but I’m not being unpatriotic by saying that I love Korea and Japan mainly for their cultures, languages and entertainment industries. My dreams are based on this unconditional love for the said countries. One of my lifelong dreams is to finish college with honors, contribute myself to the labor force of any of those countries, and help boost the economy of my own country. This dream is what drives me to study hard, pursue excellence and do everything I need to do with the best that I can.

I could pretty much compare myself to two Naruto characters: Kakashi and Shikamaru. I always get the two of them when I answer Naruto character tests anyway.

• Kakashi: Mature. Balanced. Quirky. You’re not what people would call a “black sheep” but at the same time, you aren’t quite normal. With a subtle sense of humor and a slightly less than subtle way of teaching people a lesson, one thing is for sure: no one can wait to see your whole face (this kind of goes to a figurative level).
• Shikamaru: You are very lazy and say toublesome a lot. You are very good at being tactical. You think before you do stuff. You are smart but, your laziness is your weakness (yes, i myself can assure this).

I’ve been blogging since May 2006 with KimchiDreams.net. I stopped blogging for a while because of the pressures of being a graduating high school student. Entering my last year in high school has changed me as well as my blogger self. Those changes would be troublesome to disclose but as to give an insight: maturity level and my view on blogging. So then I permanently stopped blogging with KimchiDreams.net and decided to blog under a new domain: SilentSage.net.

Being the introvert that I am, I rarely voice out my thoughts and only through this blog shall my unspoken thoughts materialize.

The Silent Sage…

I’ve always been labelled “quiet” by people. This is in gratitude of me always in deep thought (well, not always deep). It’s no wonder why I would always nod, shake my head or shrug when asked a question. A sage is just an artier term for a philosopher, and thinker. Plus, it’s only four letters - great for a URL. And lastly, whenever I play MMORPGs, say Ragnarok Online, I would always end up being a Sage or anything of that sort.
