I was about to sleep already since I’d be attending the OrSem tomorrow at 7:30 in the morning. But I just happened to stumble upon some blog post which caught my attention.

A blogger which passes off by the name, Upstart Blogger, is giving away freebies. These freebies are no mere candies. These are shiny new iPhones. I’m not going to wonder how he is able to give those away for free. I’ll just sigh and thank God that there are bloggers who also give. And I thought bloggers blogged to receive (paychecks).

I recently started a new blog. It’s my personal (a more personal one) blog at blogger.com. I just want to plug it in here.

One Big Fight is the personal blog of Beena Reyes about being a college student, a Filipino, an Asian and a Christian.

I’ll be posting my rants on what I’ve been through throughout the day in this new blog from now on. The theme of this new blog would be more on my life as a student in the Ateneo. But since I’m not YET a student, I’d be ranting about going through the registration process and quite a few too many random things (like eating Japanese food for a day).

It’s still new and I hope you guys read it too (if you’re really bored). ^^

There’s a competition up on the Pinoy blogosphere that promotes “true writing” among bloggers whether veterans or pros.

The Blog Awards Challenge is a blog competition combining literary skills, interactivity and peer polling. The Blog Awards Challenge is bi-weekly theme-based writing event for everyone in the blogosphere. A challenge is posted in the site every two weeks. Bloggers who wish to compete will write about the theme and post the entry on their respective blogs.

I plan to join this competition because this is what I’m really after - writing. I’m not fond of blogging for the sake of ranting about what and how I’ve done through the day. I feel like it’s too superficial. This competition would be good for bloggers like me who are into writing. The first theme would be posted on Sunday, April 13.
