I’ve recently watched a film which stars several Hollywood actors whose faces I’ve never seen before and a famous (and infamous) K-Pop artist slash actor whose name has already become part of my vocabulary. Every K-Pop fan would surely know his name, at least, if not admire him.
For those who don’t know, Speed Racer is an American live-action remake of the Japanese anime. Well, I just couldn’t resist but disclose this piece of information.
There’s nothing special with the melodramatic storyline. What’s catchy in this film is the cinematography. I’m not a fan of racing but I liked this film not because of the fact that Rain 비 stars in the film but because of the candy-like cinematography.

Some things that I could never relate myself to are gory films and coffee. But today, I think I got a dose of them.
I watched Doomsday just a while ago. I really wanted to see it for the fact that it’s a British film and just for the record, I love British accents and languages (i.e. the Irish, the Scottish).
I admit, the storyline was one-of-a-kind. It’s not the ordinary “everyone’s infected and zombie attacks ensue”. In fact, the infected ones were not that much shown in the film. The focus wasn’t on them but on those who are immune. But still, I could not help but get disturbed at the very explicit language, the bloody violence and the sexual content. I know I act boyish but this isn’t my type of film. Dirty comedies like Meet the Spartans, Epic Movie, and all those that doesn’t make sense at all are not my kind of films. I think Finding Nemo makes a lot more sense.
I didn’t like those parts of the film but the storyline was really nice. If you’re in for the story, how it happened and all those connections, then go watch this.
Doomsday is a 2008 British science fiction film written and directed by Neil Marshall. The film takes place in a quasi-post-apocalyptic United Kingdom, that quarantined an infected Scotland which has since been presumed dead. Rhona Mitra stars as the heroine who leads a team to seek a cure in inhospitable Scotland when the virus begins to belatedly emerge in their preserved homeland of England. Marshall cited Doomsday as an homage to numerous films from his childhood, including Mad Max and Escape from New York. Filming took place in Scotland and South Africa in the course of 2007. -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomsday_(film)
After watching, we (it’s actually my friend who wanted) went to a coffee shop called “The Coffee Academy” and I swear I just ordered hot chocolate but it really tasted like coffee and now I regret going in there. I’m not a fan of coffee. I don’t really like the taste of coffee no matter what shape or colour it takes. Everything that has coffee in it even if it looks like a chocolate shake is still coffee for me and I don’t really like drinking it. I don’t know if I’m normal or what ’cause almost everyone my age is into coffee stuff.
Is there something wrong with not thinking that gory films are cool? Am I abnormal for getting disgusted at the taste of coffee? Am I a teenager from an alternate universe?
