What’s in Starbucks

Whoever would not know what a Starbucks is could already be considered an outcast in the society. Even in a third-world country that I dwell in, there would always be this coffee shop with a green round logo signifying the class and style that most people of today would like to have. My economics teacher has once said, “It’s in every corner.”
Yesterday marks the second time I’ve set foot in one of the countless Starbucks shops here in the Philippines. The first time has been less than a decade ago and I was with my aunt then. Back then, I only got a slice of chocolate cake (forgive me for being generic) being the little kid that I was. Yesterday, I was with my friends and no, I did not get anything this time. I did not even last a couple of minutes inside. For some reason, I thought I did not know my surroundings. And so I went outside with a couple of my friends who apparently think the same.
